A celebration begins on the canvas: colors dance, forms intertwine, voices seem to rise from the painting. “Convite” is more than a work of art – it is an invitation, a call to community, a ritual of light and movement.
Luis José Ramírez Cortés, born in Oaxaca, opens with his art the gates to Mexico’s hidden symbols. Trained at the Academy of San Carlos and the University of the Arts in Warsaw, he carries the tradition of his homeland into the present, transforming it into images full of energy and mystery.
In “Convite” unfolds a visual poem: glowing orange, vibrant pink, deep blue – swirling like music, like memories suspended in the air. The work speaks of everyday life and festivity, of destiny and joy, of beauty that resides in motion.
Ramírez Cortés has already presented his works at biennials and in international galleries. Today he collaborates with Mexhaus/Ramirez Handels, inviting us to see Mexico through his eyes.
